hope for london

Thank you for visiting our Hope For London information page. May you be encouraged as you read about the vision outlined below.
In 1954 Billy Graham conducted the Greater London Crusade in Harringay Arena, which lasted for 12 weeks and drew crowds totalling over one million! It culminated in a final event in Wembley Stadium which was attended by over 100,000 people. This mission affected not only London but the whole country! I believe the time is right for another 'Harringay'!

Several years ago the Lord spoke into my heart as I travelled on the London underground and I believe He gave me the vision to hold a second “Harringay Crusade” in a venue in London. The ‘Hope for London’ vision was birthed in my heart!
Let's pray for our capital city to be reached with the glorious gospel of Christ! With God all things are possible ...... |
Can you imagine a major arena filled to capacity night after night for 12 weeks (excluding Sundays) with people hearing the gospel of Christ proclaimed in a simple yet dynamic way ?
Can you imagine churches across London working together in unity for the sake of the gospel? Can you imagine Christian celebrities sharing short testimonies? Can you further imagine the arena ringing with the sound of vibrant gospel choirs, Christian musicians performing, mime and dance etc. |
What Others Say About Hope For London
"Knowing first-hand the impact that such missions can have on people, cities and communities I warmly endorse Alex Bowler’s vision for London. Alex is a fine evangelist with real ability for large-scale proclamation evangelism. "

"As someone deeply affected by 'Harringay‘ I am thrilled to think that something like it could happen again.
In many ways that early Billy Graham crusade was a 'turning point' in the understanding of UK Christians concerning mass evangelism. It proved that such a method worked, and I truly believe it can work again. I personally believe that the spiritual climate in the UK has gone full circle, and I am increasingly convinced that the day of large crowds in a central venue is possible. You have my total and unreserved support." Rev. Dr. Tony Stone International Evangelist |
