If you were standing on the banks of a river which led to a massive waterfall and you saw a boat going down the river packed with people having a party, oblivious to the danger ahead, wouldn't you do all you could to warn them of the waterfall? Wouldn't you shout: "There's terrible danger ahead! You are heading for a waterfall! Get in the lifeboats now and row to the safety of the bank before it's too late!"????
Let's do all we can to warn strangers, acquaintances, friends, work colleagues and family members, in short: EVERYONE, to get off the road to hell before it's too late for them! The Bible says, ... how shall they hear without a preacher? It's our job to share the gospel of Christ with people! When did you last tell someone about the way of salvation? You may have the opportunity today. DON'T MISS IT! The world says that sexual intercourse before/outside marriage (fornication) is OK - Jesus says it's EVIL.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7: 21-23 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 Christians MUST run away from fornication. The Bible says: Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 If a Christian 'couple' sleep together before marriage, getting married will NOT deal with the sin they committed before marriage. The only way to deal with it is to confess it as sin (preferably together) to Almighty God, and renounce it. If a man and a woman commit fornication they also become 'one flesh'. Only God can break this ungodly soul tie. This may not be the most popular teaching but God is not interested in popularity or political correctness. He is interested in Christians walking in holiness and purity. 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7: 13-14 As I stood outside the New York Public Library in Manhattan preaching the gospel of Christ from the greatest book of all, I noticed a man heading down the street and as he approached me I said, "Where are you going?" This man immediately stopped and we started a conversation. He listened intently as I explained that we are all heading to an eternal destination and that he had to choose between heaven and hell. As he heard of the love of the Saviour, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again, he was visibly moved. I explained that God was offering a free pardon to all who would repent, and believe in Jesus as their risen Saviour, confessing Him as Lord. A few minutes after being asked the question about the destination he was heading to, he told me that he wanted to make sure that he would one day go to heaven and we prayed together outside that famous library .... on the 'street of salvation'! Where are YOU going? I took this photo in the stunning Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. It's a truly beautiful place.
Reader, have you come in repentance to the 'Rock' yet, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for you and rose again, and cried out to Him to save you, confessing Him as Lord? The Bible says: ... that Rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:4. He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. Psalm 89:26. The Lord is my rock ... Psalm 18:2. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 The best gift a wife can give to her husband on their wedding night is her virginity and the best gift a husband can give to his wife on their wedding night is his virginity.
Young people - SAVE YOURSELVES FOR YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND/WIFE. ... keep thyself pure. 1 Timothy 5:22 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
Acts 8:29 A few years ago I undertook a preaching tour of the South Devon Riviera with some friends. Each morning they picked me up in their car and we travelled to our daily destination together. One evening, however, God spoke into my heart and told me to catch the train the following morning to our next destination - Teignmouth. I immediately phoned my friends and shared this with them and we agreed that they would meet me at Teignmouth railway station! Humanly speaking, this just did not make sense, as it would have been far easier and far more practical for us to travel together in the car! When God speaks to us, however, we must obey! I just knew in my heart that the Lord must have had a very special reason for sending me to Teignmouth on the train and I was soon to find out exactly what it was! The following morning I boarded the train and sat in my seat next to a smartly dressed man in his late twenties or early thirties. After a few moments we started chatting and he told me that he was training to be a lawyer. He asked me what I did ..... and I told him that I was an evangelist! He then said, "That's amazing! I have been hoping that I would meet someone who could tell me how I could know God!" What did I do next? I told this young man how God had spoken to me the night before, telling me that I should catch the train to Teignmouth! He was amazed, and excited to see this evidence of God's love for him and listened intently as I told him the way of salvation. During the course of our conversation I offered him a copy of The Missing Peace by Mike Hencher, which he gratefully received. As the train arrived in Teignmouth we shook hands and said goodbye and as I left the train and walked towards the station exit I prayed for his salvation and thanked God for bringing us together .... on the gospel train! Several years ago I went to Minehead, in West Somerset, to preach the gospel of Christ in the open air. It was a beautiful sunny day and I decided to preach on the seafront, opposite the West Somerset Railway Station. I had arranged for a friend called Andrew to meet me there with his camcorder, so he could film me preaching. As I proclaimed the gospel of Christ in that beautiful place, a lady and her daughter stopped to listen. I told 'the old, old story of Jesus and His love' and explained that although we could not get to heaven on the West Somerset Railway, we could get there by coming as repentant sinners to Jesus Christ, believing in Him as our risen Saviour and confessing Him as Lord!
As I continued to preach the greatest news in the world, I told passers-by and those who stood listening, that they needed to come to Christ urgently and that today was the time, quoting the words of II Corinthians 6:2 ... now is the day of salvation. I warned them that they could die that very night and urged them to get right with God! The next day Andrew phoned me and said, " Do you remember that lady with her daughter, who stood listening to you yesterday? She died in the night at my friend's guest house and he had to call out the undertaker!" This lady had gone back to the guest house after hearing me preach the gospel and had told the proprietor that she and her daughter had been listening to a preacher on the seafront! She was not to know that her soul and spirit would leave her body that very night! Reader do you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour? If not, come to Him today! So many people in life feel worthless. They may have been abused by others and blame themselves. They may have been downtrodden in many ways and have been told that they are "a waste of space". They may feel worthless because of the way they have treated others. Multitudes of people grow up with a total lack of self-worth and so often it is because they have never experienced a loving home and have never felt valued at all.
God, however, sees us all differently! The highest price was paid for our redemption - the shed blood of Jesus. Have you ever realised before just how much YOU are worth in the sight of God? The Lord Jesus Christ loves us so much that He took our place on the cross and died for our sins! The Bible tells us just how much we are worth in the following verse: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver or gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18-19 It is not, however, enough just to know your value, you must come to the Saviour who paid the price for you. If you have not already come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and faith and confessed Him as Lord, do it today and be set free in His love! When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, tell yourself just how much you are worth in God's sight! Think of the cross. Think of the blood of Jesus. Think of His suffering, and thank God for all He has done for you! |
